TUPE stands for Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment Regulations. It give employees protection when the identity of their employer changes.
There are various employment issues for an unincorporated charity, church or church plant that intends to become a CIO. This includes information and consultation obligations that arise: between the current entity and staff who will be transferring to the CIO, and between the current entity and the newly established CIO.
