Every relationship with a major donor or a grant funder is slightly different. Each funder will have in mind a particular outcome or set of expectations – and as a charity, you will want to work with the funder to see whether those expectations help you fulfil your aims or distract you from them. Even if you are aligned, other key issues might emerge, such as:

  • How do requests for anonymity fit with your obligations to know the source of funds?
  • Can we negotiate an agreement that gives us maximum flexibility about the use of funds, while still honouring the donor’s intentions?
  • What do we do if it becomes impossible to fulfil the conditions that a funder has specified?

We will help you to understand what your legal obligations are and how you can best honour Christ in managing your use of grants and major gifts.

Please give us a call if you want to talk through your requirements and find out how we might be able to help you.
