Seeking to provide a secure future for our loved ones is something that we can all relate to.  For many children growing up in less developed countries though, there is no such provision. These children sadly have futures that are far from secure.

Fountain of Peace Children’s Foundation UK was set up to provide hope to children whose future would otherwise have been bleak. Working with partners in western Uganda, Fountain of Peace are funding efforts to rescue orphaned or abandoned babies in the local area and provide them with a home for life.

A secure future for the charity

For such amazing work, it’s important that the charity’s future is secure too. A key part of providing this security is having fit for purpose governing documents. For such core matters, it’s important to be both legally compliant and biblically faithful at a foundational level, something to which Edward Connor Solicitors were able to lend their Christ-centred legal expertise.

Looking back on the work Edward Connor solicitors have done on their governing documents, Andrew Shepherd, Chair of the Board of Trustees at Fountain of Peace, said:

“In traversing the complex field of rewriting our Articles this year Edward Connor Solicitors have provided expert advice and Lynda has been so supportive in helping us to register this document despite so many obstacles.

“An understanding of the legal complexities of a UK-based charity working overseas required detailed knowledge of the pitfalls along the way but Caroline was always available to help.”

Helping secure biblical faithfulness as well as legal compliance is what makes Edward Connor Solicitors unique, and this uniqueness stood out to Andrew and Fountain of Peace:

“Dealing with a Christian legal company who understood and empathised with our objectives from the start made the whole task so much easier, especially in the correct wording needed to obtain approval of Christian values in a secular world.”
