It is clear that recent events will have a huge impact on the UK economy. With churches being closed and many people being furloughed with a reduction in pay, churches and other Christian organisations are likely to see a reduction in financial giving over the next few months. One of the unfortunate consequences of the lockdown may be the need to consider redundancies within the workplace.

This may be uncharted territory for many organisations.  Get it wrong and there could be a substantial financial liability. As well as getting the legalities right, churches and other organisations will want to ensure that they are supportive towards those whose roles are at risk of redundancy.
