Lily is part of the Charities team which specialises in advising churches and Christian organisations on their governance and constitutional matters, particularly focusing on helping churches become CIOs.
She acts as the paralegal for the team and also helps to run the FIEC Practical Advice Line. Lily joined FIEC Practical Services in 2017 to act as the Research and Advice Coordinator to talk to churches and research legal challenges they may face. While her role has evolved to support the Charity Team, she still enjoys engaging with churches on the Advice Line.
Lily has previously worked at Oxford University Library Services as well as doing research. She has a PhD in literature.
She is married to Richard and they are part of the church family at Avenue Community Church in Leicester, where Richard is the pastor.
