Since qualifying as a solicitor in 1997, Mark has specialised in employment and equality law cases. Mark has been recognised for his ‘dedicated’, ‘meticulous’, and ‘strategic’ approach to cases, and has successfully advised and represented many clients in complex and difficult discrimination claims. Prior to joining Edward Connor Mark has more than 15 years’ experience in senior roles as a solicitor, including as a professional lead lawyer and Regional Employment Manager in Wales for Thompsons Solicitors, and as the Head of Employment and Discrimination Law at a London-based law firm. His work has involved providing advice and guidance to schools, charities, faith-based organisations, and businesses on all aspects of employment and discrimination law, including redundancies and reorganisation, mergers and acquisitions, disciplinary and grievances, and policy reviews.

Mark has been interviewed on the TV and radio, and written articles and commentary on employment and discrimination law subjects. He has extensive experience as a speaker and trainer to different groups including churches, University students and academics, Trade Union Officials, teachers and Headteachers, Health Care Professionals, and volunteer advisors.

Alongside his work with Edward Connor Solicitors, Mark is the Executive Director of the Lawyers’ Christian Fellowship, in which role he has spoken widely on the legal freedoms which Christians enjoy to live and speak for Jesus. While working as a solicitor he completed the FIEC’s Prepared for Service course, and later studied theology at Union School of Theology. Mark has a pastoral heart for the wellbeing and gospel work of Christian churches and charities in the UK, and is committed to encouraging Christians to be more confident in their gospel freedoms. He lives in South Wales, and is a member of Freeschool Court church in Bridgend.
