Neil is an experienced finance leader with over two decades of senior accountancy practice and governance experience. Before joining Edward Connor Solicitors, he served as a director and partner in several accountancy practices and has chaired Audit & Risk Committees for multiple housing associations.
What’s been your journey to ECS and why did you join ECS?
After selling my interest in my accountancy practice in October 2025, I started exploring what God might have next for me. I knew I wanted to use my financial and governance experience in a way that directly supported gospel work, so I began looking for roles in Christian organisations.
It is amazing how the Lord works, during the interview process with Edward Connor Solicitors I first heard about a similar opportunity with Christianity Explored. I ended up starting with CE a little earlier, in February 2026, and then joined ECS in March. I consider that I have been led to two very different organisations yet both are deeply rooted in service to the Church and the advancement of the Gospel.
Even though I only discovered ECS recently, the mission, the culture, and the heart behind the work really struck me straight away. It felt like exactly the kind of place where my skills and my faith could come together in a meaningful way.
What are you most excited about your work here?
I’m really excited about getting to grips with the financial side of an organisation that exists to serve churches and Christian charities. There’s something very energising about knowing that the work behind the scenes helps ministry flourish on the front line.
I’m also looking forward to getting to know the team better and understanding the unique rhythms of a Christian law firm, it’s a fascinating blend of professional excellence and gospel purpose
What can we be praying for you as you start?
Please pray for wisdom as I settle in and get up to speed with everything. I’d appreciate prayer for good balance as I juggle my responsibilities here alongside my role with Christianity Explored.
Most of all, pray that I would serve with humility, clarity, and a heart that honours Christ in all I do and that my work would genuinely support the mission of ECS.
