We’ve recently had two new staff members join us, read on to find out more about them!

Naomi Lower – HR Coordinator and Finance Officer

Naomi joined us in April 2026 as HR coordinator and Finance Officer. Prior to working for Edward Connor, she was Office Manager for a Christian outdoor activity centre in Essex where she lives with her husband and four children. Naomi enjoys HR completing her CIPD in 2004 and has experience of working in both the business and charity sectors. She is married to David who is a vicar in Clacton-on-Sea.

ECS: what’s been your journey to ECS and why did you join ECS?
Whilst the children have been at primary school, I have been able to work as Office Manager for Birch Hall Adventures, a local Christian outdoor activity centre.  It has been a privilege to be a part of this work on the North Essex coast – combining my love for the outdoors with office work!  I was seeking a fresh challenge and found ECS!

ECS: What are you most excited about your work here?
Being married to a vicar and having worked in the charity sector I have seen firsthand the demands placed on church leaders and charity trustees. Whilst looking for a fresh challenge, I saw a vacancy at Edward Connor Solicitors, a well organised, professional firm that provides Christian organisations with the support that they need and don’t always have available to them. I’d like to do my part to help the team to help them!

ECS: What can we be praying for you as you start?
Thank you for your prayers. I would be grateful if you could pray for these three things:

  1. Adjusting to working from home
  2. Learning the new role and all that that entails
  3. Balancing family, church and work commitments

Sofia Park – Legal Team Support Specialist – Maternity Cover

Sofia is covering for Nush Oree while she is on maternity leave. As part of the legal support team, she primarily assists the employment team.

Sofia is currently studying part-time for a BA in Theology at Oak Hill College, where she lives with her husband. Before getting married two years ago, she was based in Cambridge working for the charity Friends International, which equips local churches to share the Gospel with international students.

She has a background in languages, having studied French and Spanish at the University of Exeter, and has lived in both France and Spain teaching English as a Foreign Language. Sofia loves people, travelling, and experiencing different cultures, and is happiest walking in the countryside and enjoying God’s creation.

Sofia’s church family is Hope Church Barnet in North London, where her husband serves as Youth Pastor.

ECS: what’s been your journey to ECS and why did you join ECS?
I’ve been studying part-time for a BA in Theology at Oak Hill College for the past five years. During this time, I’ve had various part-time café jobs to support my studies, including working at the famous Fitzbillies in Cambridge, serving Chelsea buns to students and tourists alike!

I met my now husband on a trip to Japan, organised by Oak Hill College. In 2024, we got married, I moved to North London and joined Hope Church Barnet, where my husband had recently started working as the Youth Pastor. It was there that I met the lovely Amy Hall, my pastor’s wife, who introduced me to ECS at a time when I was looking for some part-time work.

Although I have no background in law, I applied for the role on the Legal Support Team because I was really drawn to the values and ethos of ECS. Through this role, the Lord has opened the door for me to grow in more ways than one, and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to play my part behind the scenes in an organisation that seeks to enable local churches to flourish in their ministries.

ECS: What are you most excited about your work here?
I’m most excited that playing my part on the admin team helps free up our fee earners’ time and supports the wider work ECS is doing for churches and Christian organisations across the country.

I love the image of the tapestry that God is weaving, with each person playing their part. We don’t always see the full picture and at times, the threads can look messy up close, but along the way, we catch glimpses of God’s purposes, and in the end we’ll see the beauty of what he was doing all along.

I’m also excited to learn lots of legal terminology and know-how – it feels a bit like learning a new language!

ECS: What can we be praying for you as you start?
Please be praying that I am able to serve the employment team well by learning and adapting quickly to what is being asked of me, enabling their work to be as effective as possible.

Pray that I would work diligently, pay close attention to detail, absorb new things quickly, and be quick to acknowledge and learn from my mistakes while also being gracious with myself along the way.

Please give us a call if you want to talk through your requirements and find out how we might be able to help you.
