Updated 23 April 2021
The Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme – otherwise known as the ‘furlough scheme’ – has been extended until 30 September 2021 and the level of grant available to employers under the scheme will stay the same until 30 June 2021.
From 1 July 2020, employers could bring furloughed employees back to work for any amount of time and any shift pattern, while still being able to claim the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS) grant for the hours not worked.
We here provide you as an employer an adaptable template letter outlining an agreement with your furloughed employee(s) regarding bringing them back to work. This is an updated template letter reflecting the extension to the Job Retention Scheme.
